Ana-Sofia Gonzalez
Ana-Sofia Gonzalez (she/they) is proudly Tex-Mex. Born in Mexico City but raised in the Lone Star State, it’s never her first rodeo. After studying Political Science and Global Affairs at The University of Texas at San Antonio (Go Spurs Go), she headed to Medellin, Colombia on a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant scholarship. A staunch advocate of public education, Ana-Sofia then returned home and became a middle school social studies as a Teach For America corps member. She recently graduated from Harvard Kennedy School with a master’s in public policy and hopes to continue her capstone research on intellectual freedom and the importance of the public library system in aiding and abetting a thriving American democratic society. In their spare time, Ana-Sofia enjoys studying and practicing Zen meditation in their local Buddhist community.
