Imagine IF: An Intellectual Freedom Adventure Poster Session

Building on ALA President Sam Helmick’s “Choose Your Own Adventure Intellectual Freedom Edition” presentation, this session introduces an engaging and interactive open educational resource (OER) to support professional development for public librarians through scenario-based gameplay. Attendees play the role of librarian as they navigate intellectual freedom issues and interact with patrons in the online game. We’ll present options and recommendations for local implementation at public libraries and in library and information science programs. We will also discuss the creation process for the OER. Expect game-inspired swag giveaways!
