Library Futures Awarded Lounsbery Foundation Grant

We are very proud to announce that Library Futures has received a grant from the Richard Lounsbery Foundation to support our work advancing digital rights in library communities. The Lounsbery Foundation “aims to achieve high impact by funding novel projects and forward-looking leaders.”

Thanks to their generous support, you can look forward to multiple new initiatives from Library Futures in the coming year, including

  • More support for our research and advocacy projects
  • An open source library technology project to pilot a way for libraries to provide direct digital delivery of econtent (if you’re reading this and are a developer – reach out!)
  • Ongoing events that educate, inspire, and build our community

Grant funds will also allow us to establish an advisory board, improve and expand our website, and expand our network of researchers.

As always, we would not be able to do the work of creating an equitable digital future without our community. If you come to our webinars, read our newsletter, utilize our research, or follow our work in any way, thank you. The future looks brighter together.
