Wendyliz Martinez

2023 Student Fellow

Wendyliz Martinez is a third-year PhD Candidate in the English and African American Studies dual-title program. Her research interests include representations of the Caribbean and Black girlhood in literature, film, and social media. She has a recent chapter titled, “ TikTok For Us By Us: Black Girlhood, Joy, and Self Care” in TikTok Cultures in the United States edited by Trevor Boffone.
