Video Games in Libraries

Rose Behar, Chris Baker, Colin Post, and Marisa Marzilli will discuss emerging issues for collecting, preserving, and providing access to video games in libraries. They will share initial takeaways from two major research projects on this topic and consider some of the big questions librarians and game developers face in preserving gaming history. Participants will learn about forthcoming resources for strengthening games collections and services, as well as ways to get involved in these efforts.
